Most Bible schools require the student to come to them. Listen to Learn works the other way around.
We bring practical biblical education into communities where pastors and other Christian leaders are already living, working and serving.
That's a big deal and here's why.
Our students don't have to relocate. They don't have to leave their churches or stop earning a living. They don't need to move to a city where the campus is. And even better, they don't have to learn in a language that isn't their own.
Our school fits into our student's life and also their back pocket. That's why we call Listen to Learn "The School That Walks With You."
Listen to Learn works with local churches and Christian leaders to establish small, community-based schools we call Local Bible Institutes (LBIs).
An LBI doesn't need a campus. It needs local leadership, committed students, our curriculum and a place where students can gather to check-in. That means a school can operate in a village or community far from a traditional Bible college.
Students remain where they are already needed. They keep working. They keep caring for their families. They keep serving their churches.
We don't remove leaders from their communities to train them. We train them within their communities.
Audio is at the heart of Listen to Learn. Not because it's a lesser substitute for a classroom, but because it removes many of the things that prevent people from getting an education in the first place.
Students can listen while walking. While travelling. While working. At home. And wherever possible, they listen in the language they understand best.
That matters.
Serious ideas are hard enough to learn without first having to translate them in your head. Good biblical teaching shouldn't depend on where you live or whether you speak English.
Listen to Learn isn't merely a collection of sermons or a few courses loaded onto a device. Our full program takes approximately two years, eight semesters and 500 hours of listening and study to complete.
Students work through a structured curriculum designed to build biblical understanding and practical leadership over time. They learn alongside other students through their Local Bible Institute and are supported by local leaders who understand their culture, churches and communities.
And at the end of those two years, they graduate.
For many students, it's an educational opportunity they simply could not have accessed otherwise. 500 hours. Two years. One leader who chose to keep learning.
This might be the most important part of our L2L model.
Our students don't disappear from ministry for two years while they study. They learn while they lead.
There is very little distance between the classroom and real life because, in many ways, real life is the classroom. That makes Listen to Learn practical by design.
Many Listen to Learn students are already leaders when they arrive. They're pastors, teachers, lay leaders, parents and people their communities already look to for guidance.
So we're interested in more than whether they finish the curriculum. We want to know:
Learning carries responsibility. We want graduates who understand Scripture more deeply. We want leaders who lead well. And ultimately, we want that leadership expressed through love and service to others.
